Buruk Non-woven started in 2015 as a General Trading Company. The company ventured in non-woven bags in January 2018 after the Kenyan government banned usage of plastic bags. Due to shortage of carrier bags in the market. Buruk Non-woven saw the need to come up with an urgent and long lasting solution in carrier bags and packaging materials.Buruk Non-woven was started by Mr. Micheal Ghilay Abraham and Mrs. Semhar Mebrahtu with a humble start of importing bags from China and reselling them directly to the distributors in town. Currently the company boasts of the state of art machinery which has facilitated fast and consistent growth of production. more than 20 units of production machines were recently imported and they are fully operational doubling production. The company also acquired a fabric extruder with an efficient of producing massive tons of non-woven fabric in a day
In December 2018, buruk was named as the best performing company and a company producing the best quality packaging products.
The company is exporting it’s product to Tanzania , South Sudan and Uganda. It has also been serving clients countywide in different levels of enterprise.
